Agency, Privacy & Wellbeing
for the Digital Age
LIBERDATAR MANIFESTO FOR THE WELLBEING OF HUMANITY IN THE DIGITAL AGE
Liberdatar helps people and businesses reclaim agency, protect privacy, and maintain wellbeing in the digital age — through practical education, applied R&D, better tools, and offline community programs.
Agency means having real choices about our lives. Privacy protects those choices — it reduces unnecessary exposure and limits who can track, profile, or manipulate us. Today, those choices are increasingly shaped by how our data, identity, and attention are captured, processed, and monetised. We don’t moralise technology — we make the trade-offs visible, teach practical privacy literacy, and help reduce dependency on any single platform or gatekeeper.
Wellbeing is the capacity to live well — mentally and physically — with tech supporting humans, not the other way around. That includes protecting what’s most human: attention, relationships, emotional life, and connection to the living world. That’s why Liberdatar pairs better tech with healthier ways to live with tech — grounded learning, real community, and offline experiences you can’t replicate online.
We’re education-first and tool-curious: from strong encryption, minimal-data defaults, and verifiable credentials, to Web3 primitives where they genuinely help (ownership, coordination), privacy-preserving AI patterns (local inference, small open models), and emerging security horizons such as post-quantum readiness, QKD and, as it matures, quantum networking.
THE LIBERDATAR BADGE
The Liberdatar Badge is an optional digital membership badge that enables privacy education and community programs.
It’s not an investment and comes with no promise of profit — just a simple way to back the work, show the belonging and join the conversation.
ABOUT
Liberdatar is a community-led, not-for-profit education initiative advancing data sovereignty, privacy, and human agency and wellbeing in the digital age. It emerged from international academic networks, with strong contributions from the Blockchain Technologies Knowledge Network and students and alumni connected to the University of Western Australia and the University of Nicosia.
We publish practical learning resources, run discussions and workshops, and explore tools and patterns that help people reduce digital dependence and protect what matters. Our optional digital Liberdatar Badge is a symbolic membership and awareness tool—participation-focused, not financial—supporting education and outreach.
